📣 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: Northside Neighborhood Community-Owned Property Master Plan

The West Virginia Community Development Hub is seeking a qualified planner, landscape architect, architect, planning consultant or consulting team to help shape the future of community-owned properties in the Northside neighborhood of Bluefield, WV!

This project will help property owners turn their vision into a conceptual master plan that explores development opportunities, identifies potential funding and partnerships, and creates a roadmap for implementation.

We're looking for professionals with experience in community-based planning, neighborhood revitalization, site design, and working with small rural communities.

⭐ Available budget: $12,500
⭐ Proposal deadline: November 6, 2026, by 5 p.m.

The housing crisis is about more than affordability. Across the country, millions of people live in homes that are unsafe, unhealthy, and deteriorating, yet home repair remains largely overlooked in housing policy and public conversations.

Join us on October 22 at 1 PM for a webinar featuring Todd Swanstrom, Alan Mallach, and GHHI President and CEO, Ruth Ann Norton, to explore the urgent need to address housing deterioration and invest in preserving existing affordable homes.

Drawing on The Other Housing Crisis: Ending the Deterioration and Loss of Affordable Homes, the discussion will examine how home repair can improve resident health, preserve affordable housing, and strengthen communities. The conversation will also highlight GHHI’s Whole House Model, an integrated approach to home repair, climate change, and health equity.
