It's time for , campers!

Combine prehistoric finds with all the benefits of modern camping at this week's KOA. Strategically located near Route 191, this campground is the perfect pit stop for Western road trippers.

The campground's variety of RV sites accommodates everyone, from the van lifers to the motorhome enthusiasts. Choose from pull-thru, back-in, or KOA Patio sites and spend less time setting up and more time relaxing. No RV? No problem. Stay in a ultra-comfy Deluxe Cabin or a classic tent site.

The area is known for its abundance of dino finds. Under 20 miles away is Dinosaur National Monument, where you can see over 1,500 fossils on exposed cliff face. Other state parks in the area provide boating and fishing with views of dinosaur tracks along the way. After you've channeled your inner paleontologist, camp is a welcome respite. Challenge your fellow campers to a game of horseshoes or giant jenga, cool off in the pool, or take in a movie under the stars.

SpaceX launched Starship's 14th test flight and first attempt to go to orbit from Starbase Texas a few weeks ago, and it was a sight to behold from South Padre Island KOA Holiday. Campers: what state or province has the BEST camping spots?

Demolition is underway as older structures are cleared for a new Speedway convenience store and fuel station near Markle’s I-69 interchange.

The project involves 690 and 720 W. Logan Street, addresses previously associated with Daily Diner and Markle Tire & Truck Service.

Both properties changed hands on August 17, 2026. Huntington County Auditor records list RAJ Food Mart Inc. as the previous owner of 690 W. Logan and Chris A. Geiger as the previous owner of 720 W. Logan. Both parcels transferred by warranty deed to Agree Convenience No. 1 LLC, creating a combined 5.08-acre site.

The buyer is affiliated with Agree Realty, a national retail property owner and developer headquartered in Royal Oak, Michigan. Company filings connect the LLC to Agree Limited Partnership and Agree Realty Corporation.

Planning activity preceded the August transfers. A March 19 zoning hearing agenda listed Eric Carter, acting on behalf of RAJ Food Mart, requesting an additional ground sign and exceptions to sign height and size limits at both addresses.

The Speedway news has been confirmed independently by both Kim Hostetler of Huntington County Community Development and Steve Kimmel of the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce.

In correspondence with a local citizen, Hostetler identified several permits issued for 720 W. Logan:

• CS-2026-11: A 105-by-30-foot canopy, issued May 21, 2026.
• CS-2026-12: A 160-by-28-foot fuel canopy, issued May 21, 2026.
• CS-2026-13: A 50-by-104-foot Speedway convenience store—5,200 square feet—issued May 21, 2026.
• MP-2026-229: An electrical permit, issued September 30, 2026.

Speedway became part of 7-ELEVEN in 2021, when the company acquired approximately 3,800 Speedway stores from Marathon Petroleum.

An opening date has not yet been verified.
