The 6th Annual Barktoberfest takes over Boerne Main Plaza on October 17th, and the gazebo lawn becomes the finish line for the Doggy Dash (and the always-delightful Dachshund race, pure chaos in the best way).

Hosted by Hill Country Animal League, the day raises support for affordable spay/neuter and wellness care across the Hill Country, dressed up as an afternoon of craft b**r, food trucks, a costume contest, and every well-loved dog in Boerne showing out for the crowd. Free and family-friendly, 10am to 4pm.

The Kendall is just steps away from the action, so bring the leash and the appetite. We'll have a table waiting after the races.

Long before it was a place to unwind, this space held rows of desks and the sound of a Boerne classroom at work. Our four School House rooms were once just that, a working schoolhouse, and we restored them with a careful hand rather than starting over: tall proportions, honest materials, and the bones of the original building still doing their job.

Now they're some of the quietest stays on the property. Warm woods, comfortable beds, and a considered bath in place of a chalkboard. It's the kind of room where you slow down without noticing, then realize later you slept better than you have in a while.

Pair a School House stay with a walk along the Cibolo Trail and dinner just steps away on the Hill Country Mile.

This clawfoot tub has been part of The Kendall's story since long before "boutique hotel" was a phrase anyone used, and bringing it back meant honoring the craftsmanship of hands that worked long before ours. Every restored detail here, from the hardwood underfoot to the staircases guests climb each night, is a piece of Boerne history still doing its job.
