The rhododendron are in full bloom on this beatiful holiday weekend in the high county! There is an adventure at every turn in the mountains, without even leaving the neighborhood. It was fun to explore the remains of Camp Yonahlossee and imagine all the history on this site.

Thankful to be back. Spent our weekend making stops at some of our favorite places (Peddlin Pig, Kilwins) while also checking out some new ones (The Blowing Rock, Mexican Rock restaurant).

Friday we participated in the great work that Samaritan's Purse has been organizing across WNC. The devastation is heartbreaking, but the muscle present at every turn to rebuild this beautiful community is tremendous.

What a fun afternoon, gliding through the trees on the alpine coaster. The whole crew had a blast seeing who could truly use no brake! (Not me!) Definitely a great year round activity and good break from snow sports.

What a beautiful fall day to explore! I love discovering the gems that are hidden all around. The trailhead is no more than an 8-car off road, pull off (and only 5 minutes from the house!)... but made for a day of beauty and feeling of accomplishment.

What a beautiful holiday weekend that were able to spend exploring some local wonders of nature. We were excited to venture out this weekend and visit Linville Caverns, Falls and Winery.
