• Day Camp Counselor - $ 13/hr starting wage. Must be CPR certified and have a valid driver’s license. Counselors are responsible for organizing activities, games, and crafts for children 6-12 years of age. Position is M-F and starts the first week of June and continues through the first week of August.

• Lifeguard – $ 13/hr starting wage. Must have lifeguard certification. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

• Assistant Beach Manager - $15/hr starting wage. Must be 18 to apply. Manages the beach and beach employees on days the beach manager is off. Enforces beach rules with customers and employees. Daily cash reporting. Serves food for concession stand. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

• Part Time Laborer (year round)– $16/hr starting wage. This is a year-round position. Must be able to work 8am-4pm. The laborer will assist with cleaning bathrooms, w**d eating, trimming, removing debris and trash, cleaning up trees and limbs, and other various duties. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

*Starting wages for returning employees will vary based on experience*

• Gatekeeper - $13 /hour starting wage. Gatekeepers are responsible for greeting park visitors, making reservations, collecting payments and fees at the main gate, and assisting in other administrative duties as assigned. The ideal candidate for this position must be able to work evenings and weekends and some holidays with fluctuating hours in the Spring and Summer as business hours are extended. Flexibility is needed for days and shifts during the week.

This is a thank-you post for Scales Lake Park. They have allowed us to hold the there for 22 years (including our 2026 plunge). They are a beautiful venue and work with us so that we can have the best plunge possible. We are forever grateful to them and love working with them. I will post past plunge pics in another post. 2026 Camping reservations-
January 2nd @ 6:00 am we will start taking walk ins. Phone calls will start being answered after we have taken care of all in person reservations. Please, only leave one voicemail. We assure you that someone will get back in touch with you in the order that the phone calls were placed.
January 3rd @ 6:00 am the Online system will open up for reservations.
Please keep in mind that you can only make a maximum of 4 reservations per date. You can only make one reservation per guest per date. So if you are making reservations for other people please have their information when making the reservation. Example: Name, address, telephone number, and email address. Camper information is also helpful. Example: RV length, slide-outs, type of camper.
You can continue to pay for these reservations, but each site will have to be entered into a separate guest profile.
This process made checking in/out much smoother last year.

Warrick County Parks Department is seeking motivated applicants to fill a part-time position at Scales Lake Park. See the details below along with responsibilities:

PT Laborer $15/hour – This is a year-round position. The laborer will assist with taking care of the petting zoo, cleaning bathrooms, w**d eating, trimming, removing debris and trash, cleaning up trees and limbs, and other various duties.

As this position is Part Time, they are not eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO) or medical benefits.
Applications can be picked up at the Scales Lake gatehouse from 8-7 daily.
