Tonight marks the start of something new. Welcome to Shuden Bar at The Irving, a pop-up night of hand-rolled sushi & other Asian-inspired delights paired with a selection of sake. A perfect excuse for a weeknight out, watch our sushi chef prepare your rolls to order right in the bar.
Shuden refers to the vibrant area of bars and eateries outside of train stations in Japan, a nod to the Boston Albany Railroad that used to serve Boston right next to The Irving at the turn of the century.

We're thrilled for our lobby to be home to two of the cutest elephants around, India & Peanut, with a third, Suresh, coming soon to grace Boylston Street! These elephants plus over 100 of their relatives on Comm Ave are part of the incredible The Great Elephant Migration that will be in Boston until mid September.
Each elephant sculpture is based on a real Indian elephant and crafted by artisans from the Bettakurumba, Paniya, Kattunayakan and Soliga communities of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
The goal of this amazing free public art exhibition is to amplify Indigenous knowledge and inspire the human race to share space, raising money for practical solutions that help humans and wildlife share space.

It doesn't get much more quintessential summer than a cookout with hot dogs, and it only gets better on National Hot Dog Day! Swing on by Exeter Street tomorrow starting at 11:30 to grab your FREE dog!
Last year, we gave out all 1,000 dogs in an hour so come early. Like a fleeting summer evening, they won't last long!
Special thanks this year to Demakes Bros. for the hot dogs and Piantedosi Baking Co for the buns.

For over half of America's 250 years, we've stood at the corner of Boylston & Exeter Streets welcoming all guests. Back when horse-drawn carriages & railway cars were the only way to travel, Boston & America grew up around us. Here's to another 250! Happy Fourth of July!
