Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful spring were having.
For us at the Redwood Resort, we've been busy cleaning the campground, scrubbing the bathrooms and getting the BBQ grills ready.

The 2026 camping season is officially open!

Now is the time to get the tent and camping gear out for a full check out. Motor home and trailer guests; time to check the tires and take her out for a spin. Check out everything to insure your first voyage of 2026 is safe and without surprises. Always allow a generous amount of time for driving so you arrive at your site during daylight.

Many people say May is a favorite time to go camping. The weather is cool but not cold. The crowds are less giving way for more space and tranquility. The shops in town are eager to welcome visitors to our adorable town, Boulder Creek.

Santa Cruz Boardwalk information:

As of May 2026, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is in full swing with daily ride operations, the new Vertigo 360 ride, and upcoming summer programming starting in June. Key attractions include Summer Discount Nights (Mon-Thu, 5pm+) featuring $24.95 wristbands, free beach movies on Fridays, and Evenings on the Colonnade. [1, 2, 3, 4]

The San Lorenzo museum in Boulder Creek, California, featured the Redwood Resort in their exhibition of Santa Cruz mountain resorts that existed before hwy 17 opened. A great exhibit that ends in just a few days.

Hello Campers!
Labor day weekend is in full swing. Hot dogs, hamburgers and good times with family and friends are on tap for this holiday. After all, it's Labor day, celebrating the work we do all year, day in a day out. If you’re not camping this weekend, there are still plenty of great camping days yet to come. September is beautiful in the Santa Cruz Mountains with warm sunny days and cool nights. The Santa Cruz County fair is Sept. 10-14. Try to make if you can, it's always a load of fun.

🚨 Important Update for Campers 🚨

About a week ago, the California State Park Department announced that Henry Cowell Campground will not re-open on July 16 as scheduled and will remain closed for the rest of 2025. Unfortunately, this means thousands of reservations have been canceled due to delays in upgrades to the park's infrastructure.

But don't worry! We have plenty of campsites available. 🏕️✨

Santa Cruz boardwalk has sprung to life with rides and events. This year the boardwalk is doing a first ever Drone show on May 17. It's free and should be fantastic.
