Little Basin Cabins and Campground Memories

Little Basin Cabins and Campground Memories Memories, pictures, and stories of Little Basin from 2011-2019 when it was managed by UCCR WOLF Scho There were two bathroom/shower houses for all to use.

Visitors stayed in 12 cabins, 38 tent spaces and several RV sites as well as a large group camping area constructed by HP volunteers during the Hewlett-Packard years. All cabins had bunk beds with mattresses, with a few having double beds in addition to the bunk beds, heaters, and electric lights added by UCCR. All tent sites and cabins had a picnic table, BBQ, and fire ring. Larger groups includ

I am so sorry to share this article. I love Little Basin and worked there almost 10 years. So glad the people got out. And sorry for the animals and plants.

Little Basin, a 535-acre retreat near Boulder Creek purchased in 1963 by Silicon Valley pioneers William Hewlett and David Packard, burned badly in the CZU Complex Fires.

Dear Friends of Little Basin,

This old Little Basin page was deactivated when management of Little Basin changed last year.

I am reactivating it for a limited time to tell you that Big Basin has burned and Little Basin is closed indefinitely due to the fire. We are so sorry, and want to support the eventual return to Big and Little Basin and all the creatures big and small that live there. More fire information is available via the Big Basin page.

Please go like and follow Big Basin Redwoods State Park page to keep up with Basin news. Or go like and follow Web of Life Field (WOLF) School to keep up with WOLF School camp programs in Northern California.

If you like, check out for the last time some of the fantastic photos of life at Little Basin from 2010-2019. This page will be deactivated within 5 days.
