Second Week of August 2026
👽✨ SEARCHING FOR OUR STAR BROTHERS & SISTERS… OVER AND OUT!

Well, now that our GeoDome is finished, it's time to turn our attention to the skies and start looking for our cosmic neighbors!

As fate would have it, our little town recently hosted an alien festival called MOOSH FEST, and of course, we couldn't miss the opportunity to participate! We set up our booth with our Orgone Frequency Light and kept the cosmic frequencies flowing well into the late night.
And let me tell you… we encountered quite a few interesting life forms! Some were definitely out of this world!
Now here's the funny part: MOOSH FEST was only 10 miles up the road from our GeoDome. So, dear extraterrestrial visitors, you really don't have to travel far to find us!

Perhaps our little glass dome will become an intergalactic meeting point. Maybe we'll spot a UFO, receive a transmission from a distant galaxy, or even welcome a few star brothers and sisters dropping by for a little cosmic connection.
Of course, we'll need a clear sky, and perhaps a little interstellar cooperation! 😂

First Week of August 2026
The real challenge is in the details… and it’s called CAULKING!

You would think that after all the glass panels and wooden panels were installed and caulked in, we could sit back and admire our beautiful GeoDome. Right? Well… not so fast!

Now comes the really fun part, the finishing touches!

The glass panels are caulked in, the wooden panels are caulked in, but there is still that gap in the frame where the wood meets the glass. And guess what? Every little gap needs to be sealed properly. No shortcuts allowed!

So, out comes the masking tape. Apply it carefully, run the caulking, smooth it out, and remove the tape IMMEDIATELY before the caulking starts to set. Repeat. And repeat. And repeat…

It's incredibly detailed work that requires patience, a steady hand, and a whole lot of fingertip gymnastics!

At this point, we're not just building a GeoDome anymore. We're giving our fingers a full-time job and considering adding professional caulking artist to our résumés.

But jokes aside, this step is VERY important. With Montana's weather, freezing temperatures, snow, and ice, we need every joint properly sealed to protect our dome and keep it weatherproof.

Slow, careful work now means fewer headaches later. And believe me, we're going to earn every single star we'll eventually be watching through those windows!

END OF JULY 2026 — THE DOME IS ALMOST READY!

We made an important change to our original plan: instead of windows, we decided to make the entire bottom row wood. And it turned out to be a really good decision, for more than one reason!
First, the wood helps block the neighborhood’s security lights, creating a much darker environment inside the dome for stargazing.

But there was another very practical reason: Montana winters! ❄️
Having tempered glass all the way to the ground would mean dealing with heavy snow and ice buildup right against the glass. A large amount of frozen snow and ice putting pressure on the glass could potentially cause tempered glass to shatter into thousands of tiny pieces, definitely something we didn't want to risk. And as a bonus, the wood went in much faster than the tempered glass!

Now, after all those months of building, measuring, caulking, lifting, and installing… The dome is finally ready for its first wind-free night under the stars! One more step closer to turning our little stargazing dream into reality. ❤️

FINALLY… JULY 2026! ☀️

The nights are finally warm enough for us to continue building! This is especially important because the caulking needs to stay above freezing temperatures at night to cure properly.

So, we started installing the second-lowest row of windows. And then something unexpected happened… Even though the very lowest row was still completely open, the acoustics inside the dome began to change dramatically. Sounds started to resonate and carry in a completely different way. Standing inside, hearing the difference with every few windows we added, was pretty amazing.
Little by little, the dome is beginning to sound as magical as it is starting to look.

Experts say we’ve officially lost the night sk

Astronomers warn that the thousands of satellites currently in orbit have permanently destroyed our view of the universe. SpaceX's Starlink network makes up the vast majority of these, and two million more satellites are already under development.

An alarming photo capturing just one hour of satellite activity over Chile's pristine Atacama Desert has sparked fierce debate over the future of our night skies. The image, released by the European Southern Observatory (ESO), reveals a chaotic web of bright white streaks slicing through the celestial background.

Researchers warn that this visual pollution is only the beginning.

This rapid commercialization of space poses what scientists call an existential threat to modern astronomy. A groundbreaking study led by ESO astronomer Olivier Hainaut warns that these planned fleets could increase night sky brightness by up to 300 percent, potentially making Earth's most powerful ground-based telescopes nearly useless.

Stargazers and scientists alike fear a tragedy of the commons — one where humanity's ancient, raw connection to the cosmos is permanently severed, replaced by a constant swarm of artificial light. And experts note that this loss has already started, as evidenced by this ESO photo.

Unless strict international limits are imposed, the night sky could soon become a relic of the past.

During those long winter months, Montana has a way of turning the night sky into something truly magical. With the Aurora Borealis dancing across the heavens, brilliant full moons lighting up the snowy landscape, and countless stars stretching endlessly overhead, it’s easy to understand why Montana is known as Big Sky Country.

Even though winter brought our project to a standstill, it also gave me some unforgettable moments beneath those incredible skies. I wanted to share a few of the beautiful pictures I captured this winter—little glimpses of the magic that made those long, cold months a little more special.
