Today over at the park I could hear a turkey. Then I saw them with the binoculars. I lucked out and saw a pair of turkeys and cranes near each other and both males were working hard to impress their mates . The crane was tossing sticks in the air and tom turkey was showing off his impressive fan. I didn’t get too close as I wanted them to be comfortable and stick around

The Hair Depot owned and operated by Cheryl Martinson is located on one side of the old original train depot building that was located alongside the train track going up Depot Hill. Cheryl can cut and style hair for the whole family and does a great job with very reasonable prices. The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday 🚂 9am -6pm @201 South Main. The window in her shop is where they collected tickets from the passengers. Cheryl has some old pictures from back in that era if anyone is interested.

We have folks inquiring if we have public facilities. We do not as we are small and will stay that way and I’m not going to do the maintenance involved with that project What we offer instead is Sandhill Cranes which return every year,numerous Canadian geese that nest and get to see their young mature,Bald Eagles that nest across the road from the Boulder Hot Springs. We have Red -Tailed Hawks soaring above the park as they nest close by,and Ravens that have very vocal offspring when they’re hungry. A mama moose had her calf below the park that many campers had the pleasure of seeing. So we don’t have wi-fi as many campers have their own service but Mother Nature is a refreshing replacement. Come visit !!!!

We had the pleasure of having a lovely couple from Idaho stay with us for 3 nights. She shared this video of the Sandhill Cranes with this note attached “ The stunning Sandhills Cranes visited and gave us an epic send off “. They plan on coming back again. Hopefully the cranes will have some offspring to show off.

The next business is not open for another month so we’ll go to the thrift store See&Save. The store is clean and well organized with great prices. They also have a monthly bag sale for $5. Vicki Cordeiro and Stephanie Mehus run the store along with other volunteers. All the proceeds go back into the community such as scholarships,pool repairs,and situations where  some extra help is needed. Their hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10 to 4. Telephone number is 406-225-3656. See and Save is a good place to find special treasures and something you might need for your RV and camping!

Our neighbors north of the border are discovering our RV park and like the quiet location for getting a good nights sleep and heading home in the morning. Safe travels to them and hope they swing by next fall on their way to the warm winter states. Such a nice friendly bunch of folks. They make me feel like we've known each other a long time. Love it!!

Getting back to Boulder Businesses and the next stop is Dave’s 32oz. 115 N Main Michael Tolley is the owner 406-310-1245. Michael has many plans for his business with a fully stocked bar and a kitchen he will be serving meals from and offering catering within a 100 miles. Other plans are for a roller rink that will also serve as a dance floor. There is a axe throwing pen and a mechanical bull to ride plus darts. The hours are 11 am to 2 am every day. He has some changes in the making and I’ll share them in April . Michael is new to Boulder and wish him well.

We’re open for the 2026 season! Our park is great for folk’s wintering in the Sunny states and are heading home to more Northern states. We are a good stop for Canadians heading home via Montana. Quiet and cozy with full hookups and pull through sites. We had a couple heading home to Alberta They loved the quiet and got rested up for their trip home. Through April we are at 2025 rates @ $35 per night. We just had a new camper come in. They love the view and dog park for Lucky

Boulder Hardware at 121 N.Main is owned by Rusty Guilio and managed by Whitney Gotcher. The store has a good inventory for your projects. It also carries a nice selection of feed from your dog to a beef. This week they have baby chicks arriving for the customers. Behind the store you can get your propane tanks filled. The business is the Windsor Bar The Windsor is one of the oldest businesses in Boulder. A long time ago patrons would donate a silver dollar and they would add it to the bar countertop. Well some jerk broke in and stole the valued dollars. So the owner removed it and put it above the back bar. When I went in the Windsor today ,I saw the original bar was back with all the empty spaces filled with silver dollars. So terrific. The Windsor serves food with the most popular steaks in Boulder. Rusty Guilio is the owner and Soja Johnson is the manager. Their website Windsor Bar shows all the events they have going on. Soja is excited as they are going to remodel and it will be ready by April. 201 Main. 406-225-3335. I’ll be back with their new remodeling job when completed
