Bay View Campground is one of Cape Cod's most popular and conveniently located family camping vacation resorts. Located high on a wooded plateau near beaches and the Cape Cod Canal, your camping vacation at Bay View Campgrounds will be unforgettable. We accommodate seasonal & vacationing campers with tents, pop-up campers, unlimited length RVs and motor homes. All sites come equipped with water, 30 amp electric, cable television, a picnic table and a fireplace. 50 amp electric, sewer and pull through sites are available upon request. We offer 3 pools, 2 playgrounds, Wi-Fi, a game room, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, a sports field and planned activities and entertainment. For your convenience Bay View is pet friendly with a dog park, has modern, clean restrooms with complimentary hot showers, an outdoor restaurant, an on site laundry room, an ice cream parlor/coffee shop, a small grocery store, a camping supply store, a jewelry shop, DVD and VHS rentals and local tourist information.

One last reminder before we pack away another camping season. Our gates will close and phone lines will be turned off at 12 noon today, October 15.

To our seasonal campers, short-term campers and guests, thank you for spending your Cape Cod days with us at Bay View! From beach trips and Canal walks to quiet mornings at camp and evenings around the fire, we hope you’re heading home with plenty of happy memories.

The friendships, familiar faces and warm welcomes are what make this campground a community. We’re grateful you chose to be part of it.

A season may end, but the memories come home with us.

Whether you’re observing Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples’ Day today, all of us here at Bay View Campground want to thank our seasonal campers, short-term campers, and guests for a wonderful season!

As we get ready to close out another year, we’re grateful for the familiar faces, new friendships, laughter around the campfires, and all the little moments that make camping here special. It’s the people who make Bay View feel like a community, and we’re glad you’re part of ours.

We look forward to welcoming many of you back next year for more relaxing weekends, camping adventures, and good times together.

ATTENTION, CAMPERS: Tonight’s dinner plans have officially been topped!

It’s National Sausage Pizza Day! Grab a slice and let that ridiculously long string of melted mozzarella put your reach to the test. Stretching before dinner has never tasted so good!

Gather your camping crew and head to your favorite local pizzeria! Enjoy a meal together, give the kitchen a break, and show some love to the folks in our community who turn dough into deliciousness. Dine in or bring a pie back to your campsite. Just remember, “I only want one slice” is rarely a legally binding agreement!

The Sandwich Glass Museum’s Annual PumpkinFest is here!

The museum lawn is filled with handblown glass pumpkins in all kinds of colors, along with other autumn and Halloween pieces made by local and regional artists. Take a walk under the festival tent, enjoy the artwork, and maybe find a pumpkin to take home.

The outdoor festival runs today from 10 AM to 2 PM at 129 Main Street in Sandwich. Admission is free, and it’s happening rain or shine!

Looking for a Fall Road Trip This Weekend?

If you’re looking to turn our final Bay View weekend of the 2026 season into a New England fall adventure, the Sandwich Fair in Sandwich, New Hampshire, is celebrating another Columbus Day weekend tradition from Saturday, October 10 through Monday, October 12.

Held annually since 1886, the Sandwich Fair is a classic New England country fair featuring livestock shows, ox pulls, antique displays, agricultural exhibits, midway rides, plenty of fair food, and much more. The fair runs 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday and Sunday and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday.

The fair is located at 7 Wentworth Hill Road, Sandwich, NH 03227. It’s certainly a longer ride from Bay View, but for anyone looking for a Columbus Day weekend road trip and a taste of an old-fashioned New England fall fair, this one might be worth the drive!

Another Great Way to Spend Our Final Bay View Weekend!

If you’re looking for something else to do during our final weekend of the 2026 camping season, check out the By the Bay Columbus Day Weekend Art & Craft Show, happening Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 at Drummer Boy Park, 773 Main Street (Route 6A), Brewster, MA.

Celebrating 25 years of showcasing quality fine art and crafts, By the Bay Shows brings together dozens of Cape Cod artisans and crafters. It’s a great opportunity to browse locally made artwork and handcrafted items, support local makers, and maybe even get an early start on your holiday shopping.

If you’re heading down Cape this weekend, this could make for a nice fall outing before we wrap up another season here at Bay View.

See a Cape Cod Cranberry Harvest Up Close!

Looking for another uniquely Cape Cod experience during our final weekend of the season at Bay View? This is a great time of year to check out Cape Cod Cranberry Bog Tours in Sandwich, when cranberry harvesting is underway.

These guided walking tours take you onto a working cranberry farm where you can learn about the history of cranberry growing on Cape Cod, how cranberries are cultivated and harvested, and see the bogs during one of the most interesting times of the year. Tours are led by a grower with more than 35 years of experience, making this a little different from your typical sightseeing stop.

Cape Cod Cranberry Bog Tours is located at 30 Roos Road in Sandwich. Tours are $20 per person and are offered during the growing and harvesting season based on availability, weather, and the farm's work schedule. Because this is a working farm, advance reservations are required, and they recommend calling at least 24 hours ahead at 508-237-5478 to check availability and arrange a tour.

If you've ever wondered what those cranberry bogs you pass around the Cape actually look like during harvest season, this could be a fun way to find out!

Make the Most of Our Final Bay View Weekend!

As we get ready to close out another season here at Bay View, here’s something fun to do right here in Bourne! The Bourne Historical Society is hosting its Cranberry Harvest Festival this Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Museums at Aptucxet.

As you can see in the flyer below, there will be plenty to see and do, and admission is free. It could be a great way to get out, enjoy a fall day on Cape Cod, and make the most of our final camping weekend of the year.

Thank you to all of our campers for another great season at Bay View! We hope everyone enjoys the final weekend, has safe travels home, and stays tuned because there’s more to come in 2027!
