Shopped the Bovey Public Library used book sale today to restock the shelf in the game room. 📚 Always fun to have a business reason for a guilty pleasure! Looking forward to curling up with a few in the offseason. ☕️

By my rough count, over the last month at Balsam, Vince and I have been blessed to host our moms, stepdads, our kids, 12 of our siblings, over 2 dozen nieces and nephews (from 10 months to 37 years old), 18 cousins, 8 aunts and uncles, and a handful of friends. And I’m probably forgetting someone!

We’ve enjoyed ATV trails, fishing, floating, campfires, food, drinks, more food, and plenty of laughs.

With both of us coming from pretty big families, Balsam is a great place for everyone to come together, slow down a little, and make some memories.

One of our favorite things about Balsam is seeing how special this place is to so many families. We get to watch families make their own memories here every week, and it means a lot to us to be a small part of that. ❤️

I found a couple old pictures that I think might also be your dad and uncle!

Just wanted to share this photo with you of my dad and my uncle sitting on the mantle of the lodge. It was from the 1950's , I'm 75 and I was about 9-10. We spent several years there fishing. Glad to know it's still there.

Twenty-some years ago, Vince was holding our little Lynn in front of the Big Balsam Camp sign.
Next September, she’ll be back at that same sign—this time with her fiancé, Creo, getting married here at Balsam Lake Resort.
It’s amazing how quickly time passes, and we’re so thankful this place gets to be part of another chapter in our family’s story. ❤️ 📷 Wandering

Utilized the cooler weather this morning for a little family firewood-making time. 🪵❤️
Turns out we all get along pretty good when we’re wearing earplugs.
