Avalanche Preserve is only a half mile from the cottage. And NO, you don’t have to climb the steps if you don’t want to. There are beautiful hiking trails that take you to the overlook. Whichever way you choose, the view is worth the climb.

The view from the top of Avalanche Preserve, at the edge of Boyne City, is incredible.
