Lake Gaston is one of the truly most outstanding lakes in the country. It is over 20,000 acres of "high quality" water, 34 miles long, and approximately one and one half miles wide at the lower end of the lake. Lake Gaston is well stocked with game fish including striped bass or rockfish, large mouth bass, crappie, sunfish, and several varieties of catfish. Other species of fish sometimes caught are walleye, yellow perch, and chain pickeral. A valid license for Virginia or North Carolina permits fishing in "the lake" in either state, from boats or shore, in waters accessible by boat. No license is required for those under 16 years of age. Located at: 9 Lakeside Lane, Bracey, Va. 23919

To Get Here:

FROM THE NORTH: Take I-85 south to Exit 4 (Bracey, Lake Gaston) at Exit 4, turn left on Rt. 903 and go East 5 miles. Our entrance is on the right. FROM THE SOUTH: Take I-85 north to Exit 4 (Bracey, Lake Gaston) at Exit 4, turn right on 903 and go East 5 miles. FROM THE EAST: Take VA Rt. 58 west to South Hill, Va. Then take I-85 south to the next exit, Exit 4. At exit, turn left on Rt. 903 and go east 5 miles. FROM THE WEST: Take VA Rt. 58 east to South Hill, Va. At the exit, turn left on Rt. 903 and go east 5 miles.

🎃🍬 CALLING ALL HALLOWEEN CANDY GIVERS! 🍬👻

Halloween Weekend is almost here at Lake Gaston Americamps, and we want to make sure our little ghosts, goblins, and trick-or-treaters know where to find all the sweet treats! 🍭🍫

🏕️ ARE YOU PLANNING TO HAND OUT CANDY?

If you would like to participate, please CALL THE STORE during normal business hours to have your campsite added to our Trick-or-Treat Map!

📅 DEADLINE: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30TH AT 12 NOON!

🗺️ TRICK-OR-TREAT MAPS AVAILABLE SATURDAY MORNING!

Maps showing participating campsites will be available for pickup at the store on Saturday, October 31st, so everyone knows where to go for candy!

🚨 PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR SITE NUMBER IN THE COMMENTS! 🚨

We don't want anyone to be missed! To ensure your site is included on the map, you MUST call the office to sign up.

There’s something special about October at Lake Gaston Americamps. The mornings get a little cooler, the leaves begin to change, and evenings by the campfire feel even better.

We’re ready for a month filled with crisp fall air, beautiful lake views, campfires, pumpkins, Halloween fun, and memories with our camping family!

If you are staying on B Side or C Side, you will need to contact Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative directly to report the outage.

Please understand that Lake Gaston Americamps is unable to report the outage on your behalf, as the electrical service for these areas is handled directly by Mecklenburg Electric.
