Two years ago, Anna Maria Island looked a little different ❤️‍🩹

Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton left behind a mess we never could have imagined. Our property was flooded and covered in sand, our community was hurting, and rebuilding felt like a mountain to climb.

But here’s the part we’ll always remember: we didn’t stay down for long.

With an incredible team, determined staff, local businesses, neighbors, friends, and an entire community pulling together, the island went from “well… this is going to take a while” to welcoming guests back just months after the storms.

Looking at these before-and-after clips, it’s hard not to get a little emotional. What was damaged was rebuilt. What was lost was restored. And what the hurricanes couldn’t take was the strength of our little community.

Two years later, we’re incredibly thankful to be standing here, welcoming you back to Silver Surf Resort and enjoying the island we love.

The glow-up was real. The comeback was even better. And yes… we’re pretty relieved to share the “after” result ✨

Thank you to everyone who helped us rise, rebuild, and find our way forward when the future felt uncertain. Your kind words and support encouraged us push through. We’ll never forget the hands that helped, the guests who returned, or the community that refused to give up.

The storms changed Anna Maria Island, but they could never take away its spirit. We’re grateful to be here, stronger together, and still making memories on this beautiful island 🙌
