To All the Hardworking Airbnb Cleaners,
I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work you do behind the scenes to make vacation rentals successful.
Cleaning an Airbnb is not like cleaning an ordinary home. You work under tight deadlines, often with only a few hours between guests and in the sweltering 100 degree heat. You walk into properties not knowing what the previous guests have left behind. Some days are easy, while others involve mountains of laundry, dirty dishes, overflowing trash, stained linens, and messes that most people would never imagine.
Yet somehow, you manage to turn those properties around and make them look welcoming, fresh, and ready for the next family to arrive.
Guests often compliment hosts on how beautiful and clean their properties are, but the truth is that much of that credit belongs to you. You are the ones scrubbing bathrooms, making beds, washing linens, cleaning kitchens, and paying attention to the little details that make a five-star experience possible.
Your work is physically demanding, sometimes thankless, and often goes unnoticed. But please know that you are one of the most important parts of a successful vacation rental business.
As a host, I understand that a beautiful property means very little if it isn’t clean. You help protect our investments, our reputations, and the experiences of the families who trust us with their vacations.
