Today is Linda Sandoval's last day as the Castle View Office Manager. We would like to thank her for everything she has done, and wish her the very best retirement. We hope you finally get to enjoy actually being at home. ENJOY!!!

We would also like to welcome Julie Blevins and Kim Hansen as the new office managers, joining Ray Jost to keep us all on our toes.

We have been in constant contact with Brightspeed our phone carrier. As of today they have us scheduled for Monday, June 9th for repairs. According to them they tried to make a repair today, but there is a main equipment malfunction at their facility. Again, we apologize for this inconvenience. We are looking into moving our phone service, but this can't happen until next week.

Unfortunately, we have to report we have had more theft in the park. We have security cameras operating, but they can't get all of the areas, especially in storage. We will be installing more after the first of the year, and will be putting in a security gate.

However, at this time if you have a camper in storage we urge you to be proactive in being sure that your camper is locked, and that you lock up or remove any items that you have outside such as batteries, propane tanks, cords etc. We also ask if you are staying in the park and you notice someone or something out of the ordinary you report it to the office or a board member immediately. Get a license number, description etc. We are trying to do what we can to help you protect your possessions, but we need your help.

Just a quick reminder; if you have your camper in the park please be sure your hydrant and hose are winterized. Next week's temperatures look to be freezing for several nights in a row. Any expense incurred due to freezing will be passed on to the member. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The board has recently put new gutters and drip edge with a barrier on Puffs. The gutter was undersized, it wasn't hanging correctly in places and there was no drip edge. This was done because of the constant leaks we've been dealing with.

During this process we have had 3 different companies look at the roof. It has a lot of rusted through areas, the screws are backing out and basically they all agree it is time to address it. We received bids from each of them on either replacing the metal, which would involve tearing out the whole interior ceiling and then having to replace the spray insulation, or the other option was cleaning the roof, patching and repairing all the bad areas and then using a sealer and adding a rolled coating. After talking with all three companies we opted for the rolled coating with an 18 year material warranty. They will begin work tomorrow, and then it will depend on the weather how long it takes to finish it.

Once this is done, we will get all the bad ceiling tiles replaced and then do some tearing out of the interior walls to see what's going on in there. We wanted to let you all know what's going on, and when we're ready to tackle the interior, we could sure use some help.

We want to let everyone know that at this time our Castle View website is down. Our domain name was renewed 3 years ago, but for some reason we were not notified that it came up for renewal again on July 16th. Because we weren't notified, on August 20th the name castle-view-rv.com was purchased by someone else with the hopes we would try to buy it back. Because we didn't see any major implications in purchasing a new one we are now castleview-rv.com. The website will remain Castle View RV Resort. Once we get the new domain switched to our website designer we should be able to get it back up and running. We apologize for any inconvenience and will notify you as soon as we get this done.
