The storm is over!!

1st photo is about 8 this morning. It's pretty when the sun comes out.

We ended up with about 7in of snow.But we're not warming up any time soon, so we're going to have a white January for awhile.

Merry Christmas to all. We hope you are having a relaxing evening. We've had some amazingly warm weather the last few days. So we took advantage of it today. We put Blue Belle in Lake Taneycomo and went for a Christmas Day cruise. We don't get many days like this this time of year so it was nice to get out. Saw a couple of bald eagles and quite a few fisherman also enjoying the great weather.

Hi everyone, I know it's been fourteen forevers since we've posted anything, so I want to do a little catching up. It's been a busy few months around here with all you wonderful folks coming to stay with us and trying to get settled in our new house

We've had a great time with all of you guys and hosted a bunch of family reunions. But we had a special family stay with us recently. Their last name is Frame. And yes, that's the last name of the folks that built Foxfire almost 50 years ago, and as many of you know is why the two-story cabin is called the Frame House, because that's where they lived when they owned the place. It was a lot of fun visiting with them, hearing stories and learning even more history about the resort.

They were happy with what we're doing, and said their dad would also be happy seeing how much our guests enjoy staying here saying, "it's exactly what he had envisioned for the resort ". Hopefully, they will be able to stay with us again.

Ok, we're in the main swing of the holidays around here. Silver Dollar City is going strong as always with their amazing Christmas lights and the last year for the original Christmas parade. And yes, they've already announced that next year they'll have a bigger, better parade.

So if you're thinking about coming, don't wait too long to reserve a cabin. With only a handful of weekends left, we're filling up fast.
