Join us for a horse-drawn wagon ride through the beautiful fall colors at Palmquist Farm. After your ride, relax in our cozy log lodge or head out for a hike on our many private trails.

🍁 Rides begin the last weekend in August and run through the fall
• Thursday through Saturday, 11am–4pm
• Rides are 30–45 minutes
• Adults: $25
• Children ages 4–12: $15
• Ages 3 and under: FREE

🌸 Looking for the perfect day trip during your stay at The Farm?

Just about 20 minutes from Palmquist Farm, you’ll find the beautiful Green Bee flower farm near Rib Lake.

During their U-pick season, you can wander through rows of colorful blooms, choose your favorites, and create your own bouquet to take home. Check Green Bee’s page for current hours and pricing before you go. (Green Bee Floral Designs⁠)

Then bring your fresh-picked flowers back to the farm and brighten up your cabin for the rest of your stay.

There’s just something special about starting a relaxing stay in a cozy cabin with a bouquet you picked yourself. 💐🌿

Helen’s kitchen garden is in its glory right now. Tomatoes, cabbage, herbs, snap peas, and more are growing just steps from the farmhouse kitchen.

One of our favorite parts of late summer and fall is walking out to the garden, picking what’s ready, and serving it to our guests that very day. It doesn’t get much fresher than that!

If you’ve been thinking about a fall getaway, this is one of the best times to visit. Fresh vegetables from the garden, crisp mornings, colorful leaves, and all the simple things that make the farm feel like home. 🌿🍅

🍓 Strawberry season at the farm means it’s time to start putting a little summer away for later.

Every year we preserve fresh strawberries so we can serve homemade strawberry shortcake and strawberries over yogurt long after the season is over.

Here’s how we do it:

🍓 Wash and hull the berries.
🍓 Slice them into a bowl.
🍓 Sprinkle with just enough sugar to bring out their natural juices.
🍓 Let them sit until they become sweet and syrupy.
🍓 Package and freeze them in meal-sized portions.

When winter rolls around and the snow is flying, all we have to do is thaw a batch and it’s like tasting summer all over again. 💛

It’s one of those little traditions that makes the farm feel like home!

What a beautiful day at the farm!

There’s something special about seeing family and friends gathered together, sharing a meal, laughing, and celebrating the start of a new chapter! We were honored to host this sweet country wedding and be a small part of such a joyful day.

💐 We’re getting ready for a sweet country wedding at the farm!

The altar is decorated with flowers and overlooks the pond, the hall is set, and with food from The Butcher & The Baker right down the road, everything is ready for a beautiful celebration. 💍🌿

We love seeing the farm dressed up for a wedding. Now all that’s left is the happy couple and their guests! 💛

Just a half mile down the road is The Butcher & The Baker , one of our favorite local spots. Stop in for lunch, browse the gift shop, pick up steaks, burgers, or brats for the grill, and check out their fun events throughout the summer.

Then spend your evening exploring the Northwoods and head to one of our local supper clubs for dinner.

A cozy cabin, good food, quiet woods, and small-town charm. That’s a pretty good summer if you ask us. 🌲☀️

🪿 Spring is in full swing at the farm. The geese have their babies out on the trails and around the pond, the trees are leafing out, and everywhere you look there seems to be new life.

It’s one of our favorite times of year to slow down, take a walk, and enjoy the farm waking up after a long winter.

We’ve also lowered our no-meals rates, so it’s a great time to plan a Northwoods getaway. Your own private cabin starts at just $150/night for 2 adults.
