I was playing with my blueberry scone recipe the other day. This one has a bit of cornmeal in it so it has more depth of flavor. I'm so happy with the results. You can find the recipe on my web site http://sharonmyers.com/recipes/

Had a very busy week with lots of people enjoying school vacation break. Always so much fun to meet new guests and have them discover Brattleboro. I felt like making Brioche last week, which I had not done in years, so they all got to enjoy mini Brioche with my Peach Lavender Jam. Along with the cherry tomato, mushroom and cheddar omelette, and home grown german fingerling fried potatoes.

Yesterday I was testing baked sliced apples for a salad this weekend. I roasted them with a little butter and sugar. They were so yummy. They are going to be great on pancakes with warm maple syrup.

I was lucky enough to have great guests during foliage this year. Here's one of the breakfasts that I served. I also did fried polenta with poached eggs and fried green tomatoes. Unfortunately I have not made the green tomato chutney at that time.
