Daisy enjoying a cool drink. Leaves still pretty here. It was a wet spring and a very, very dry summer, so you’re not seeing so much of the brilliant reds and oranges that are so typical for Vermont. Still gorgeous though!

Amazing full moon on the meadow tonight! And that’s not a big ol’ Vermont bear out there, that’s just Daisy the doggo looking kind of scary .

I’m calling this weekend’s price-fixe menu “Piccata Frittata Toccata;” it’s lemony chicken piccata, with a frittata to start, and toccatas (toccati?) by Bach, Frescobaldi and other composers on the inn’s audio system.

Please call (802)689-6596 to reserve a table, serving this menu Thursday ,Friday and Saturday evening 6-10pm.

And don’t forget, Wednesday is Lasagna Night! An antipasto salad, meat or eggplant lasagna and dessert in our beautiful dining room all for just $40.

Dear friends, former and future guests of our inn,

Hello and happy Fall!

The following posts are a bit long; lots to catch up on!

It’s been an eventful summer here at the Green River Bridge Inn.

Management at the inn has changed hands, as innkeepers Bob and Lee decided to move on to other life challenges, and a new little company has taken over operations. David, Michael, Aidan and Krystle, the new team here, are delighted to announce the inn is fully open and welcoming guests to our gorgeous guest rooms, restaurant and lounge.

The transition over the summer was a challenge, but now everyone’s in place, we’re getting organized and things are starting to settle down to a manageable roar. Its hard to express how excited we are to have the privilege of managing this inn. We’ve got bushels of ideas and plans for the months (and years) ahead, events, music performance, theme weekends, special offers and even a murder mystery weekend.

Right now, though, we still have some isolated availability during this glorious Vermont fall season. The leaves are already gorgeous (mostly yellow this year but still astonishing) and the days are crisp as Vermont apples.

Come on up to Green River for a little getaway! We can’t wait to meet you.
