The Breckenridge resort map in 1961. Lift 1 was the only lift the opening year. The load station was approximately where One Ski Hill Place is now. It had a mid-unload station about halfway up at the 10,400 foot level. The upper unload station, from what I can estimate, was along the lower south rim of the Horseshoe Bowl. The upper station was estimated to be about 500' above the tree line.

Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships is coming! First step, the Breckenridge Snowmaking Team creates a large pile of snow. Then that snow is put in to forms that create the rectangular shapes from which the teams sculpt the snow.
