Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to share the Bunk House Lodge preservation and transformation fund. The Bunk House Lodge in Breckenridge, CO—originally built in the mid-sixties and including a two-room log cabin from 1892—was just listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 5, 2025. We received a plaque to mark this honor at the Breckenridge Gay Pride opening ceremony on June 14.

For the past decade, I’ve been working to renovate and transform the rustic gay men’s lodge into a rustic chic, LGBTQ+ hetero-friendly space. These renovations have been a labor of love but have also been costly. Donations will help cover the expenses of my most recent remodel, which includes a second common bathroom and my 4th ladder-accessed loft. Any support will help preserve this historic site and continue making it an inclusive space for all.

My heart is broken from the hate-filled murder of 5 LGBTQ+ family members and injury of 18 others with a life-long PTSD event for the countless survivors. Thankfully, the gunman was subdued by some quick acting patrons. I am extending my love and healing energy to all my brothers and sisters directly or indirectly effected by this heartless act of terrorism.

Just north of Breckenridge sits a little lodge adorned with aged wooden siding. Cords of wood surround the backyard. Inside, cowboy hats and snowshoes hang from almost every wall, which are made up of logs that could date as far back as 1892. Yet within this rustic lodge lies one of Breckenridge's.....
