Breckenridge Colorado

Breckenridge Colorado Summit County Breckenridge is a ski resort community of 4,540 (2010) located in Summit County.

The community was established in 1859 soon after gold was found in the adjacent mountains. At 9,600 feet above sea level, Breckenridge enjoys a high alpine climate, and the town remains vibrant year round with hiking and fishing in summer along with skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling in the winter months. Breckenridge also has excellent proximity to I-70, making it a relatively easy destination for the Front Range communities.
