Meet Aleksandar, one of the friendly faces you'll see at our Front Desk!

Originally from Macedonia, Aleksandar grew up in a mountain lake village, so Breckenridge's mountain scenery feels like a little piece of home. He loves working at the front desk because no two days are the same, every guest has a unique story, and he enjoys being part of their experience from the moment they arrive.

One place he recommends everyone visit is Lake Ohrid, one of Europe's oldest lakes, known for its stunning views and historic lakeside town.

When he's off the clock, you'll usually find him relaxing with a good TV series or a book. If he could instantly master any skill, it would be learning new languages. As for food, he'll never pass up a plate of traditional Macedonian sarma, but tacos have quickly become his favorite American meal.

A fun fact? Even though he's been living in Breckenridge, he still hasn't gone on a hike! Most of all, Aleksandar says the best part of working at The Lodge has been the incredible team, whose kindness and support made him feel welcome from his very first day.

Elevation, ease, and everything in between. From sweeping views at 10,200 feet to complimentary shuttle service that takes the guesswork out of getting around, staying at The Lodge means more time soaking in the mountains and less time thinking about the details. Quiet has a specific sound up here. Wind through the trees, maybe a bird, nothing else. No traffic, no rush, just the kind of stillness that's hard to find anywhere else. Trails start right outside the door, and moments like this one are only a short walk away.

We couldn't resist. When the aspens start dropping gold like this, you throw them in the air, obviously. The drive up here alone cuts through a tunnel of color, and by the time you reach 10,200 feet, the whole mountain feels like it's celebrating the season right along with you.

Fall here is short, quiet, and unforgettable, and this is exactly what it looks like.
