This week has been SO sweet. We LOVE serving campers and serving alongside volunteers. It's also really cool to witness our staff growing in faith, building friendships, gaining new skills for life beyond camp, and just loving the Lord and one another.

Oh. My. Goodness. JUST 5 SLEEPS until Camp Term 1 kicks off... This week we're doing everything from games to devotionals, worship to CPR and emergency response training, full run throughs of camp culture, theme night setup and tear down, cheer line practice, AND MORE!

🙏 Would you help us say thank you?! WHOOOA… our friends from the National Charity League Hand in Hand TX group just led a donation drive and delivered an ENTIRE car load of paper towel, cleaning sprays, wipes, and more to camp today. It took 5 people, 3 luggage carts, and two trips to unload it all.

This kind of generosity is heartwarming and inspiring and fills our hearts with SO much gratitude!

🙌 Specialty Staff Training has begun! What does that mean?! These awesome folks come from all over Texas, all over the region, and even from other parts of the USA to learn how to care for horses, operate the zipline, tell camp’s stories through photos and videos, and most importantly: to serve God and grow in community.

Over the next 4 days more staff will start arriving in waves to begin learning the ins and outs of their roles at camp this summer. URGENT! Will you help us get the word out to your network of friends and family one more time?! If you know college-aged students who are future teachers, special education majors, students who love horses, people going into ministry, and/or students pursuing degrees in medicine… We have AMAZING job opportunities for hands-on experience.

-Future K-12 teachers: come serve as a crew leader and give some middle school students their best summer ever WHILE getting great experience for your résumé.

-Future medical professionals: get hands on experience administering medications, caring for people with feeding tubes, seizures, and a whole host of other areas of care.

-Love horses? We need wranglers who feed, care for, and spend every day with beautiful horses.

-Love God, want to spend a summer growing closer to Him and feel like you could be His hands and feet in some capacity? We’d love to hear from you.

Camp has grown a lot this year, and we’re striving to grow our team at the same speed as the camper and volunteer signups we have! Come be a part of something meaningful and big this summer.

Thursday night is Talent Show night at camp… Allow me to set the scene: the house lights dim, the celebrity judges take their seats, the crowd settles in, the stage lights get bright and… God’s amazing ways are on full display for the next two hours! Beautiful voices, magic tricks, dancers, comics, group acts, solo performers and everything/everyone in between.

The Bible tells us we’re fearfully and wonderfully made. The Talent Show is THAT being lived out on a stage at our summer camp in Texas. WOW.
