Fall is starting to sneak into the mountains, and its our favorite time of year at the cabin.

One of the best things about fall in Brevard is that it doesn’t happen all at once. With nearly 5,000 feet of elevation change across Transylvania County, the color starts high in the mountains and slowly works its way down, giving us weeks of changing leaves, crisp mornings and gorgeous Blue Ridge days.

And don’t rule out November… there’s still plenty of color - often for the whole month!

We still have a few select fall openings at the cabin if you’ve been thinking about a mountain getaway. Come see why we love this little corner of Western NC so much.

⚾️ Baseball season is here... and there’s no better place to catch the game than our favorite room in the cabin.

Our lower-level screened porch game room was made for baseball fans (by one of the biggest)! We had so much fun curating this themed space from our private collection of treasured baseball memorabilia.

Watch the game on the projector screen while surrounded by the sounds of the forest, challenge your crew to a ping pong tournament, or simply relax under the glow of the bistro lights after a day exploring Brevard.

Perched among the trees, this cozy space is where mountain evenings and America’s favorite pastime come together.

Sometimes you hire a company and they simply do the job.

And sometimes you hire a company that treats your property as if it were their own.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with at both our Airbnb and now our Pisgah Forest home, and can’t say enough good things about them. Every cut is thoughtful and strategic - removing dead limbs, addressing potential hazards too close to the house, preserving healthy trees, and opening up carefully selected view corridors without over-clearing or hurting the trees.

What impresses us most is their work ethic. These guys work incredibly hard, are professional from start to finish, and clearly take pride in what they do.

If you’re in and need tree work done, these are the folks we call again and again. No surprise they stay quite booked so give them a call and get on their schedule!

(After watching them all day, I can confirm they have thighs of steel. Like CAT engine pistons. 💪)
