Laurel Creek Retreat is a large luxury home conveniently located between Hendersonville and Brevard, and a 40 minute drive to Asheville. Brevard and Hendersonville are beautiful, fun towns, that have great shopping and many wonderful restaurants. There are Wineries and Craft Breweries to visit throughout the area and Oskar Blues Brewery is just 15 minutes away from our home. We are about a 20 minu

te drive to the Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway, where you can enjoy the Pisgah Cradle of Forestry, Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls, Tubing, Fly Fishing, Horseback riding and Trail Hiking. DuPont State Forest just a 10 minute drive from our home has hiking trails and breathtaking waterfalls like none other in North Carolina. The historic Village of Flat Rock is home to the Flat Rock Playhouse and Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site, with a goat farm and hiking trails. There are so many things to see and do in this area!

It's been over two years since we left this beautiful place. I came across this picture this morning. My heart! The mountain homes back yard was such a lovely place to be. There's nothing like that NC air and the sound of the morning birds. Be well.❤️

Our time here is finished. We will take with us every single precious moment from this beautiful place, carry them like treasures along with the lessons we learned having a home 21 years in the mountains. There has been much laughter and so much fun through the years, but also lots of hard work and some tears at this mountain home. The library my Dad and I built together. The clearing to the creek was a dream come true! The morning we first saw snow here and ran outside.❄️Our vegetable garden. Shooting at cans off the front porch. The roses. The kids pulling weeds and mulching. Turning our home into a vacation rental.🏡 My mother at age 90 visiting this year!

So thankful for those who visited us here and guests who made memories here. Now we are off to new adventures forever carrying with us the memories in this home. ❤️

Another wonderful trip. Darlene is always super responsive and helpful, the house is always spotless, amenities are plentiful, and we love the location. Couldn't ask for anything more.
