MIST Bigfoot Alliance

MIST Bigfoot Alliance A "No Harm" group of enthusiasts dedicated in learning the facts behind the existence of these creatures. How does Ohio and Michigan share these experiences?

Fun, fellowship and revealing the truths behind The Guardians of the Forest are our primary goals enhanced by the friends we meet in our journey. Many questions need to be answered following strange events experienced on a bow hunting trip in Pennsylvania in the late 1970's. Cameron County experienced a rash of encounters and unexplained happenings by several members of our party as well as others

within a ten mile area. Could the creature(s) still be there guarding Ridge Road? We at MIST are on the journey to find those answers!

Just reminiscing about our adventures in the Pennsylvania mountains of Cameron County. It was a long time ago and age has a way of dimming the light a bit year after year. I cannot walk these hills now but I just want to share our encounters with our newer folks just to let you know that there old timers out here who still believe!

Digging thru my archives on encounters at Salt Fork in SE Ohio. We spent some early years with the family camping there and Dillon but well before my interest in Bigfoot had gained traction. Encourage everyone to buy copies of Doug Waller's books on the numerous Ohio reports.

Nothing changes much up on the ridge in Cameron County Pennsylvania. One can drive for miles up on Ridge Road which takes you up to the Steamboat Road connector. It was an ideal hunting area as the deer would frequent the clear cuts and even some active logging spots along the hollers. Harkening back to the morning I tracked a wounded doe into a briar tunnel and found her laying on a bed of field grass already expired. I guess this was when things started to be questioned in my mind. "There was no grass growing up here in the forest"! How did it get there"? Did a mountain lion bring it in ? How could a cat haul grass that far in it's mouth? Things just got more confusing. It was only about a quarter mile from my favorite lunch spot at the desolate cabin called Sands Spring Camp. Recalling the lunches there and the feeling of being watched started to take over my thoughts. " Is there a homeless mountain man up here"? All of this was a preview of events leading up to the camper incident with our two bow hunters and the ensuing incident of my father in law and brother in law being run off the trail that pitch black morning. I will probably never have the answers as age has set in and many of our hunting budds have moved on to the big blind upstairs.

Our hike up the abandoned logging trail across from Sizerville campground in Cameron County PA. turned out to be quite eventful. The five of us started at the highway and headed up the left branch of the trail at around early afternoon. As the maps indicated it was a loop trail that headed to the top and then right along the ridge to the downward loop altogether maybe three miles. As we reached the summit we began to hear what sounded like something trying to imitate raven calls from nearby to another one answering maybe 100 yards down the ridge trail. We decided to split off into two groups with Brett and Chad taking the lead and Jim, Jeremy and I bringing up the rear maybe 10 minutes later. As the first group headed out the calls continued as we watched them out and down the trail. Suddenly I experienced an attack of light headedness and confusion as to the whole scene spun around me. As I regained control the guys were looking at me in confusion. Jeremy said the hair on his arms was standing straight out but James had no reaction. The bird calls had stopped and the first duo could be seen in the distance with no apparent effect. We continued on our hike with no further incident. We met up with Chad and Brett at the bottom of the trail and discussed the event but they saw or heard nothing to report. Now could it have been a BP spike from climbing the trail? Who knows but just another note to add to the strangeness of our adventures in Cameron County PA.

Geezer stops, out of breath!

We sure can relate to reports as this! That whole northern tier of PA. is subject to chance events. Our two bow hunters in Cameron County would sure agree. RIP Dave and Bob!

OBSERVED: I was at my family cabin in Harrison Valley Pennsylvania on the 8th-11th of October 2021. My sightings began on Friday evening on the 8th when me and my girlfriend had arrived to the cabin at 8 PM. When we were parking we noticed a bunch of deer in the yard and I began to turn the highbeam...
