Party bus at the Barn. According to Kendall County it’s OK to have 21 people staying there because “the owner said they are his friends and they didn’t pay.” 🤔 What about the new ordinance passed that limits occupancy to 10 people??

Was supposed to be a relaxing and quiet Friday evening with a couple of friends around the fire pit. This instead. This is our life, every weekend, the past 12 months living next door to this giant AirBnB. And Kendall County won’t do anything about it. It will be another summer of ruined weekends.

This is Nate Bronski, he calls himself “the financial guy for the Barnhouse.” He showed up at the Kendall County PBZ meeting in February, on the day PBZ voted to pass the new ordinance for short term rentals. He gave a pathetic little speech: “we now realize that this is a tight-knit neighborhood… we put a lot of money into the BigSkyBarnhouse….we want to work with the neighbors…” Not once has ANY representative of this LLC, the BigSkyBarnhouse, ever reached out to anyone in the neighborhood- not once! They don’t care.
He had every chance to talk to the Corneils Rd. residents who were at the meeting, but chose to leave instead. Yesterday, he was at the Barnhouse and again had the opportunity to talk to the next door neighbors who were standing on the front lawn. Again, chose to ignore them.
This is a classic demonstration of how not to run a business, and the consequences are already being felt.

This is the kind of callous owner that just ruins it for a quiet neighborhood and couldn’t care less.
As of March 19, yesterday, he can not rent out BigSkyBarnhouse because he is not on the registry, and it is illegal to do so until he complies with all the ordinances. So guess who showed up today…. Over a dozen guys who will become drunken ass*****s in the next few hours, already out playing baseball, shouting and being loudmouths. Judging by the amount of cases of beer they brought in it will get worse as the night wears on. Don’t forget though, the owner swears this is not a party house!!

This is the kind of business BigSkyBarnhouse is - ignoring the new short term rental laws and renting it out anyway. The dozen or so grown-up boy brats made sure to make the weekend another example of entitlement without accountability.
The sheriff was not too pleased with his visit to the Barn at 1 am
