It was good to come back to The Farmhouse for the first time since the Airbnb launch. We’ve been non stop, since we bought the house, at the top of the pandemic, almost three years ago 🙈. So much time has passed so quickly. I never lived in a house growing up and admittedly didn’t know the first thing about home ownership. I was most surprised by how owning a house transformed the way I live, my pace, & my relationship to others. Being apart of a community in a more permanent way, a community that is worlds apart from cosmopolitanism, oriented away from the port/ocean and towards the land, opened me to hold others beliefs in ways I wouldn’t have in New York and I like to listen to the difference.

We are definitely sleepy, but happy, to have hosted two great guests. And excited for the weeks ahead.
