In celebration of Invasive Species Awareness Week, NYS OPRHP and WNY PRISM were able to collaborate and install a boot brush station at Lake Erie State Park! The boot brush station is located at the trailhead of the Nature Trail. This boot brush serves as a tool to combat invasive species and protect our park’s natural ecosystem by aiding in the removal of hitchhiking animals, seeds, and plant parts on your shoes. By using it before and after you leave the loop trail, you can help reduce the risk of spreading invasive species to new environments and throughout the Park. Happy hiking!
