JW and Missy Watson fell in love with the sweet little town of Hochatown, Oklahoma on their first visit in the fall of 2020. They started looking to buy, and then the opportunity to build became available and they jumped on it. Their cabin has a very special meaning to their family. They named it Tater Bug Retreat after their precious nephew, Tate Wood, who passed away from cancer in July 2021 at the young age of 24. Ironically, Tate was able to enjoy a weekend with his best friends in Broken Bow just days before he passed. It only seemed fitting to honor him and the fight he fought with such grace and an amazing attitude. They are looking forward to making memories at TBR and hope your family will too. When you do, they will be giving a portion back to the Rutledge Cancer Foundation. When Tate was receiving treatment during the holidays this amazing foundation provided Christmas stockings full of heartfelt gifts. His favorite was a wireless speaker, so in December 2021, they gave one speaker for each of the 250 stockings delivered to hospitals in the DFW area to children and young adults fighting cancer. This stocking was such an encouragement and brought a smile to Tate’s face and they want to continue to give in his memory! Stay tuned for updates and plan to book a stay at Tater Bug Retreat! They will be going live soon! Justice Construction Management
