🦌 Hochatown, Okla. (9:15 AM, January 25, 2026) WINTER STORM AND COMMUNITY UPDATE

There were no calls to the Police or Fire Departments overnight. Hochatown police officers conducted a patrol through the town this morning. U.S. Highway 259 is currently covered in solid ice and resident and cabin roads are impassable at this time.

Hochatown road crews began clearing operations at 8:30 AM this morning, marking the second round of efforts. However, the likelihood of roads remaining hazardous, even after grading, is high due to ice accumulation. Most businesses are closed.

We will continue to monitor conditions and conduct additional road grading passes as necessary.

The Hochatown Police Department and Hochatown Fire Department remain on standby, ready to respond as needed. 📞🚨 Please call 911 in case of an emergency.

An ❄️⚠️EXTREME COLD WARNING is in effect through Tuesday at Noon.

Travel should be limited during this period, as road conditions remain VERY hazardous. AGAIN, thank you for your cooperation, support and for staying home!
