The energy of the city keeps moving through September at Ace Brooklyn.
Labor Day weekend belongs to the Lobby. and kick things off on Friday and Saturday, followed by .Kotch on Sunday — a full-scale celebration of Caribbean food, rum and sounds featuring , , and friends.
Then, .us takes over with a end-of-summer soiree, while Hip Replacement Live brings Ben Dietz () and Kyle Raymond Fitzpatrick’s beloved show to Ace with special guest exploring contemporary culture through the perspectives of Gen X, Y and Z. hosts an afternoon tea leaf and tarot reading inspired by her brand-new book, "Food Is a Feeling," and transforms the Lobby for a Sensorium Party.
Artist in Residence ’s "It Can Happen…Still Time to Try" is on view in the Gallery all month. Through collage and speculative world-building, the exhibition considers how Black life might inhabit and reshape the landscapes, architectures and ecologies of the future.
