Here is a message from Charlie White about the tree planting this Saturday at the Ranch. We certainly welcome a few more volunteers if you are able.

Hello everyone. The Ranch has an amazing resource in our dedicated volunteers. Without volunteers all of our projects would just be another idea. We completely rely on volunteers for practically anything that gets done around the Ranch!
Here’s the game plan:
On Friday morning, the trees will be delivered to the Ranch at 9 o’clock. We will use the tractor to unload, but we will need a couple of people to help load and unload the tractor.
The rest of the day will be spent using the tractor to dig the holes that will have been marked on Thursday.
I would like for us to meet about 8 o’clock Saturday morning at the kitchen to figure out a plan of attack for the day.
The tasks will be putting the trees in the hole, watering and backfilling, staking as necessary, mulching, and installing temporary above ground irrigation.
We’ll get as much done as we can before it gets too hot
And then break for lunch about 1 o’clock depending on how the day goes.
At lunch, we can discuss the remaining chores and the best way to tie up the loose ends.
