The Hostel@Acorn by the Sea offers among the best of Maine's natural coastal scenery and is hidden away, tucked into a quiet place along Eggemoggin Reach on private gravel roads set about with spruce, pine and oak trees. Butterflies flutter….often. Fireflies twinkle in the warm nights of June and July…all the time. The stars shine… most nights. You never know what critter or feathered friend will

pop in for a visit. Our historic property consists of about 60 oceanfront acres. On site are ten sophisticatedly rustic private cottages plus our Hostel@Acorn by the Sea which is the ideal alternative for travelers who would love to explore the Blue Hill Peninsula, but without the frills.

This summer we are renting the Acorn Guest House in its entirety instead of individual rooms. If you have interest in booking the Acorn, please feel free to reach out via e-mail at [email protected]. The Acorn is perfect for one family or two or possibly a group of friends spread across three floors with two baths, a kitchen, a library and six bedrooms, not to mention the wide, welcoming porch overlooking the gardens and just a short walk to the ocean.
