For those of you that enjoy wholesome farm-to-table products, we currently have one quarter (1/4) side of “Vern’s home raised beef” left for sale. A quarter will include all of your delicious premium steaks, roasts, braising meats, stew meats, soup bones, ground beef, and organ meats (if wanted). It’s approximately 100-125 lbs of meat depending on how big the steers are at butcher time. Special processing like hot dogs, sausages, etc are available by request. Our boys are grain fed and pasture raised at our home with no hormones or antibiotics and live their lives as happy cows. Remember…Happy cows make happy meat!

Please let us know if you want to grab this last quarter. When it’s gone, it’s gone. It will be ready for your freezer right around Christmas. We will make arrangements to get them to you if you don’t live in the area.

We’d like to introduce you to the latest member of our Prairie Star Lodge team - meet “Suzy”!
She is a gardening and quilter scarecrow (see her beautiful neck kerchief and her scrap streamers made from our garbage can scraps?). She was brought to life by our own PSL Head Gardener and Quilter - Mary Alice Hart!…Thank you Mary Alice, for making Suzy part of our team! We know she will work as hard as you and Laurie V in making Prairie Star gardens spectacular all year round! A big thank you to both you and Laurie for all that you do in making Prairie Star’s gardens the most beautiful around!…we don’t know what we would do without you! 🥰

We’ve had a couple last minute cancellations so now is your opportunity for an impromptu stay if you’ve ever wanted to retreat at Prairie Star Lodge during the summer months!

Bring your crafting supplies, your swim suit, and your pool beverages and enjoy a couple days of fun and relaxation!

Have nothing to do this coming weekend?.... tired of sitting home and quarantining?....want to get together with your friends that you haven’t seen in forever?.... we are offering a last minute opening for this week. The Lodge is open from Wednesday afternoon thru Monday morning! If that’s too long, you can even come for the weekend or any number of nights you would like. The pool is open and begging for some attention... and the workroom is cool and inviting... the perfect place to sew on those hot humid days!

Happy cows make happy meat!!!
It’s that time of the year when our Vern-raised “Bobs” will be taking their one way trip to market at the beginning of November, and will be ready for your freezer right before Thanksgiving. They are naturally raised with love and attention - no antibiotics or growth hormones.
We are now taking orders....if anyone is interested in purchasing 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or a full beef, please let me know. We will coordinate delivery to our
out-of-town customers!
