DOUGLAS COUNTY TRAIL UPDATE 1/10/2020

Douglas County just had a dusting of snow this week! Many of the trails are still open but do have some water on the trails and may be rougher in spots. Clubs have been working hard to get the trail system open. Currently approximately 90% of Douglas County trails are open
Please check the attached map for which trails are currently open. It is critical that we respect the landowners who allow us to utilize their property, so please verify that the trail you intend to use is open at this time.
We will provide updates as more trails are opened or conditions change. Deer have been reported on trails so keep an eye out while traveling.
Please share this info with anyone that you believe would be interested…our goal is to inform as many trail riders as possible so they can adjust their plans as needed to avoid the closed portion.

NE Quadrant – Flooded trail areas are frozen over.
Open Trails
All NE Quadrant Brule River Rider Trails are open and groomed except 635 and the small section of 235 between Trail 2 (TCC) and Hwy E. With a couple exceptions, all Brule River Rider trails have been groomed since the weekend. Much of the NE has been groomed twice. Trail 4 has not been groomed the two miles just south/west of Hwy L. That section can hopefully be groomed next week..

Douglas County Ski Trails

The service roads and parking lots are plowed. The Ski Trails where Groomed Tuesday December 31st and in fair to poor condition.
The trails have a good base we are just waiting for a couple inches of snow so we can set a new set of tracks.
