Thomas Point Beach is more than a business for us, it is a culture, and a family. It has been an honor to serve as stewards of Thomas Point Beach for the past 8 years, and my wife and I would like to express our endless gratitude to all of our customers, friends, and supporters, through our years, and through decades here at the campground.

It is after a great deal of thought that we have decided it is time we begin a new chapter in our lives, and we have made the bittersweet decision to sell the campground, to see what else the universe has in store for us.

Times, and the park itself, have changed dramatically over the past several years, and we both feel it is time for us to move on. We have been working this past year to find a buyer, and we are happy to say we are confident we have found one who will continue the legacy of the campground, one that will work with and continue to serve our community.

Although we are excited to announce we are closing on the sale in the next few weeks, we are disappointed to admit that there are still many outstanding questions that we do not have answers to at this time, and will soon be out of our control. That said, we are encouraged that the new buyers have repeatedly expressed their intentions of continuing the park’s partnerships with local schools, summer and community programs, and even our portfolio of events.

Yes, you read right; the incoming owners have expressed an interest in continuing our beloved Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival. We aren't sure what that is going to look like yet, or even if it will come to pass, but it's encouraging to hear that they understand the importance of the various offerings we have brought to the community in the past, and are willing to consider how they may continue those traditions with our producers, partners, and vendors, who have helped us connect and give back to the community for over six decades. We are excited for the potential future of the campground, with the new owners taking aggressive steps to bring the facilities and offerings into the 21st century, while maintaining the historic charm of the property.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support and contributions throughout our journey. It has meant the world to us.

We have a fantastic weekend with Maine Folk (in spite of the rain), and we wanted to just keep the music going!

We have plenty of camping available, as well!

We are hiring hard-working and friendly individuals for Spring Cleanup and the Summer season. Spring Cleanup responsibilities include basic yardwork tasks, such as raking, mowing, and, well, cleaning the grounds! ;-)

No prior experience necessary, but applicants with landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, or mechanics skills are highly desired. Starting pay is $14.50/hour with opportunities for more based on experience. Reliable transportation is a must.

In a remarkable turn of events, we have sold out for the day of Saturday, September 3rd. At this time, we are unable to offer any additional sales of Saturday Single Day Tickets, or Two day tickets.

This is quite surprising, as we have always held the belief that we will never sell out, and we thank everyone for their support and dedication to proving us wrong.

We DO have space for Sunday, September 4th. However, we encourage you to pre-purchase your tickets online, as we anticipate selling out Sunday as well.

The one and only Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival is coming up on Sept. 1-4! Early Bird camping starts as soon as August 27th so plan ahead. The Bluegrass Festival is the crowning jewel of the campground, and this year will be better than ever! All the classics will be back in our lineup, accompanied by an exciting and fresh set of new artists. And don't forget, the loose caboose will back up and running to distribute the bluegrass-renowned fire dogs (only for the bravest of heart)! If you've been holding off, this is the year to come!

It is almost time for our annual Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival!

The gate is open at 8 am on Saturday, August 27. Please be reminded that Friday is a set-up day for us. We do not check in campers on Friday.

Tickets do not need to be printed. Please have an ID available. Tickets and Early Bird camping can be purchased at the gate. Upgrades as well.

The Maine Highland Games are coming back to Thomas Point! We are so proud to once again be part of this incredible tradition, bringing the spirit of the games to our beautiful property. The main events will be coming in on August 20th, but the best time to be camping is beginning on the 19th. There will be everything from caber tossing to traditional music, and of course, a whole lot of fun for the whole family. You won't want to miss it!
