OG Cabins

OG Cabins Secluded Off-Grid Cabin with beautiful Mountain Views located in Bryson City, NC. How often do we get to open a 12 ft.

Leslie and I chose to build the Rowdy Bear after I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in December of 2020. We had money saved up and we knew we wanted to invest in something, but we were having trouble deciding. After I was diagnosed with Cancer, the decision came down to what can we do now and building a small off grid glamping cabin on a small plot of land owned was the answer. We love the outdoors

, camping, mountain towns, and traveling, all of which were major inspirations for building the Rowdy Bear. Ultimately, we believe people are looking for experiences, not just a place to stay. Everyone knows what it is like to stay in a house, we have all experienced that. How often do we stay somewhere where we have the primary things we need, but everything is done in a way? How often do we get to seclude ourselves from pretty much everything and just live in the moment? door and bring the outside right into our living space? These are the highlights that make the Rowdy Bear Wonderful. We strive to make sure that we provide you with an experience you will enjoy and a memory you will cherish. Glamping in North Carolina is something everyone should experience and enjoy.

We didn’t find a wildlife rehabilitation to take them so it looks like we now have four mice as pets. One is missing half a tail so we named it Lt. Dan. One is a ball of energy and we identify it by the black mark on its toe so we know to watch it when we are feeding them. We put a lot of thought into the name of BT-Black Toe. One has a kink in its tail so we named it kinky and the last one is Flint.
Their fur has filled in and their under carriages aren’t as pink. Their faces have become more defined. They have changed a lot in a couple of days.

Out there working and clearing trees. The dogs are tired. Opie runs around in circles and Chloe hides every time I crank the chainsaw.

Clearing trees is so time consuming, but it will be worth it. I am also getting some good video.
