Last night's magnificent "Sturgeon Super Moon" rising over Looking Glass Rock at sunset, one of our favorite overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Supermoons occur when the moon is near or at its closest point to Earth (or, in scientific terms, its perigee) while also appearing full. We love the gorgeous fall colors😍

It's only 60 days until the first day of FALL! 🍂🍁A common question this time of year is "When do the leaves change color in Bryson City?" Leaf color changes happen from early October through early November. The highest mountain elevations will start to see leaf color change in early October. Mid- to low- elevations will see gradual color change from mid-October through early November. There are some variable factors such as rain and wind that could cause leaves to fall early, or a delayed cold snap which could cause leaves to change later in the season. https://brys.onl/fall
