Fryemont Inn was voted best place to stay In the Smoky mountain region of North Carolina. Nominations for the award included 58 hotels, resorts, and cabin rentals from across the seven western counties of North Carolina and the Qualla Boundry/Cherokee. Counties included: Jackson, Haywood, Clay, Cherokee, Graham, Swain and Macon

We are excited and delighted to be recognized with this awesome award voted on by the people. OUR people- our wonderful guests who are like family. Hey Friends!!!! We are delighted to announce that Fryemont Inn is in the running for best stay in the Smokies!!!! We would absolutely love it if you would take just a moment and vote for us. It would really mean a lot to our family, staff, and friends who work so hard to make the Fryemont Inn the best historic lodging, dining, and fireside bar in the Smokies. From the roaring fireplaces, the rocking chairs on the porch overlooking the beautiful town of Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountains, the cozy lobby with games and puzzles, the wonderful country breakfasts, southern comfort food at its finest, icy cocktails, interesting wines, local craft beers, to our beautiful, secluded swimming pool and all the wonderful friendships we’ve made over the years. A great day in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park!

This morning marked a proud and historic moment for our people as the sign for Kuwohi was officially unveiled in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Lavita Hill and Mary “Missy” Crowe were vital in restoring this name to our ancestral homelands. Their dedication to our language, culture, and people made this day possible.

Restoring the name Kuwohi is a reminder that our connection to these mountains is as strong today as it’s ever been.

Thank you so much for visiting us NC Tripping! We enjoyed visiting with you and are delighted that you enjoyed your time with us. Perched on a Mountain shelf, The Fryemont Inn overlooks Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and is the perfect spot to experience the magic and wonder of the Christmas season. Bryson City, NC is decorated with thousands of lights and Santa is already visiting daily. Now is the perfect time to visit and start your holiday season off beautifully - Bryson City is like a Hallmark movie this time of year. It’s a great time to relax, eat great food, sit by the fire, sip hot chocolate, pick up some awesome handmade crafts for Christmas gifts, take your families Christmas card picture and an enjoy the delight and wonder of the holidays in the Great Smoky Mountains. But you gotta hurry! Fryemont Inn’s historic main Lodge, restaurant and fireside bar ate only open until the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Cottage suites balcony, suites and cabin are open through New Year’s Day. 😃🎄🎅🏻⛪️❤️🎄
