Many thanks to our friend Larry for his annual gift of caladium bulbs. This year, he selected white instead of red ones, and they make quite a show.

Here's the monarch habitat I improvised at the Historic Calhoun. You can barely see the chrysalis I rescued from a spider today. There's also a caterpillar still eating milkweed leaves and one hiding inside the black flower pot. Hope to rescue another if the caterpillar last seen in "J" mode has formed a chrysalis.

The front garden at the Historic Calhoun is lookin' pretty good except where people have taken away some of the best blooms. Zinnias, cosmos, marigolds, dwarf sunflower, snapping dragons, four o'clocks (not yet on DST) and one little white one that I can't identify. Coreopsis didn't come back this year but crepe myrtle is thriving.
