The Settlement at Thomas Divide

The Settlement at Thomas Divide We have created a place for you to call home, 180 acres of rolling fields, and never ending mountain views. In the winter one can see forever.

A New Mountain Community with Beautiful Equine Facility Bordering the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with direct access to over 500 miles of trails for horse back riding and hiking. Over 26 acres of pasture land is preserved for communal use, overlooked by many of the homesites. The land is directly adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with over 500 miles of trails for horse ba

ck riding and hiking. In the spring enjoy the wild flowers, mountain laurel and rhododendron. In the summer keep cool under the lush green canopy of leave. In the fall, view the stunning colors as the leaves turn. There are so many things to do here; hike, ride, or bike directly into the Park. Or for a less energetic day, enjoy the trail around our pastures. Come to the Community Center in our charming restored old farmhouse to meet friends, or enjoy a game or two in our "playground" for all ages. And, at the end of this wonderful day, sit on your very own porch and gaze into the sunset.

Walking my dogs early this morning at Kituwah, one of the dogs gave warning of these 4 elk watching us carefully from the edge of a corn field, as they ate breakfast. Having been warned that elk will charge a dog, we did a quick about face, and walked in the opposite direction.

Early this morning, gorgeous!
