🎶🌟Calling all Buffalo friends! 🌟🎶

🗓️ Mark your calendars for May 15th and join us for a vibrant flashmob and sing-along at Niagara Square! We'll be bringing the spirit of community and creativity right in front of City Hall!

🎤 What’s Happening?
As the Buffalo Common Council convenes, we want to show our support and share our voice. Join us for a special sing-along to the tune of “We Are the Hostel” – a unique rendition by Buffalo Improv House. Don’t worry if you don’t know the song; we'll have sing-along sheets ready!

🕑 Details:
- **Date:** May 15, 2024
- **Rehearsal:** 3:30 PM
- **Performance:** 4:00 PM
- **Location:** Niagara Square, in front of City Hall

📹We need:
- **Camera Crew:** 2 volunteers with cellphones
- **Participants:** 10+ volun📹teers to sing, dance, and wave Hostel Hearts!

💃🕺 Bring your energy and Hostel Hearts signs, and let’s make this a performance to remember!

🏛️ After the flashmob, stick around for the 5pm Common Council Meeting in Council Chambers. Let's make our voices heard both inside and out!

Great article in the The Buffalo News that's looking for something to add vibrancy and attract people to Downtown and soon since downtown has fewer workers!! Something thats open all the time, something that's different not a club or a bar, something that could be an arts community centric... something that's open 365 days a year? Something that costs very little... Mayor Byron W. Brown---What could that something be that would add to the downtown corridor?! 🙋‍♀️

After 11 years of hosting “A Hostel Bike Breakfast” every Wednesday in May—bike month—this year will be a little different with us being shuttered by the City of Buffalo!

As we have always added community activity and vibrancy to our street in front of 667 Main, we won’t be this year. However, we are Thankful to others will be carrying the Hostel Bike Breakfast torch!

will be every hosting theirs every Friday at their shop on Allen & Franklin with similar vegan fixings to the hostels & will be hosting theirs every Wednesday at Trinity Church on Delaware, both are 8-10am!

If you see tell him to hop that bicycle of his and stop on by on the way to work! :)

Black eye in the Theater District—Let’s not forget why we are here! Suddenly condemning your own building due to your own decades of neglect to force a vacate of a pesky do good not for profit hostel is beyond asinine! While covering for it by saying we have to put 2 million into it now, blaming that pesky not-for-profit from taking from a pot of money but not acknowledging the negligence of the municipality who caused that damage?!?!
There was no surprise inspection April 10th as BURAs mouth piece said there was, it was orchestrated (it’s a small town, we have friends). Please keep telling Mayor Brown, Hope Young-Watkins, Brenden MeHaffey it’s not too late! Call, send letters, emails, do it in person! They need to know! In the guise of safety—Decisions are coming from the top! We need them to understand, to work with us to right their wrongs.
We want a guarantee to return to our home of 27 years, not a carrot dangled in front of us!

Larkin Square located in the center of Larkinville, is host to Bratts Hill restaurant along with numerous public and private events including Food Truck Tuesday and KeyBank Live at Larkin Wednesdays. Enjoy free parking at events in the Exchange St lots

The hostel is asking the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency to guarantee that it will be able to return to the location that it has leased for almost 30 years.
