TODAY IN SRQ - Outside your window right now, do you see something like this? :)
As I sneaked off to Siesta for a little work-related "research," I passed this older couple a ways back, overhearing him say to his wife, "Should we give the kids our address in Florida?"
Of course he was kidding (I think) as he and his wife laughed...and I smiled.
I drifted back and snapped this photo, aware of the gorgeous bright, cool day under clear blue skies. :)
Yesterday's windy, rainy, overcast conditions ushered in a much-welcomed "cold" front, sucking the humidity from the air.
Today's weather doesn't get any better than this.
I love it! (Y)
PS - Over the years, I've met the most wonderful people at the beach. Strangers to friends. Doesn't matter from what part of the country or world people come. The beach is the great equalizer. People naturally feel more relaxed and friendly when they're here. I can't tell you the number of conversations have emerged over a simple request for me to snap a couple's or group's photo. You know, the guy w/ the camera slung over his shoulder must know what he's doing. :) Always, we end up chatting. In many instances, that little chat turns to our meet-ups. At the beach, you never know what you'll see, hear, experience, or even think. Remind me sometime to tell you the story about the guy who swears his $7.3M dollar company came from a morning stroll along this very beach 3.5 years from the very day I ran in to him. I really loved running in to his wife and him that day. Really fun story. Lots of 'aha' moments.
