It has been a little over a month since the flood, and we wanted to finally share just how much The Concetta De was impacted.
In those first few days, we chose not to post photos of the damage because our priority was taking care of our guests, beginning the cleanup, and avoiding any unnecessary concern. Looking back, we’re incredibly grateful that we were able to recover as quickly as we did.
While we lost many items and still have repairs ahead of us, we were truly fortunate. The home itself was saved, everyone was safe, and things could have been so much worse.
We cannot say thank you enough to the incredible volunteers from Anchor Point Church of the Nazarene, who showed up ready to work. Because of their generosity and hard work, we were able to get everything cleaned up and dried out much faster than we ever could have on our own.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Greg Cary, the Cumberland County Emergency Management team, County Judge Executive Luke King, and all those who worked tirelessly to offer support throughout our community. Your leadership, compassion, and countless hours of service made a tremendous difference.
We are still waiting for construction to begin on rebuilding our creekside deck and the stairs leading down to the creek, but we are excited to see those repairs soon.
Every reservation, every kind word, every share, and every prayer has meant more than you know. We are grateful for this community and thankful to continue creating special memories here despite the challenges.
These photos show just a glimpse of what we experienced—and how far we’ve already come. We are thankful beyond words for everyone’s support and look forward to welcoming both returning and new guests for many years to come.
