Playscape Vermont turns 2 this summer! 🎉
But in reality, it started so much earlier. It began in the summer of 2023 when planning my daughter’s third birthday party.
Playscape Vermont has been a labor of love, and local community. We had a local photographer take amazing photos of local families in the . We had local professionals design our waivers and releases. We had local marketers help us design our website. Most of all, we had fund our loan.
Creating Playscape involved many late nights, after my daughter went to bed. Sitting on the couch in my living room, creating all of the wording for my website, creating posts in Canva (we are a proud no-AI organization), and organizing our storage shed top to bottom.
Over the two years we have had such amazing community support. profiled us in their Kids Vermont issue. We’ve partnered with for pop up events. We’ve donated toys for Vermont Connector events. Our families that we meet at each and every meet up - they have solidified the need for this service in Vermont.
Recently, families have shared with us that another service has opened in the area, with many similarities. Children’s toy & gear rentals aren’t a monopoly, and the more options available to local families and visitors alike, the better. However, when the work that I painstakingly wrote out and designed night after night is copied, it is heartbreaking.
I share this post rather emotionally, because Playscape means so much to me. It means so much to the local families around. I have prided myself on creating unique branding and encourage all other companies to do the same. Our Vermont community deserves originality.
