Today marks one year since Hurricane Helene changed our community forever. We remember the fear and loss, but also the incredible strength and compassion that carried us through.
This video includes moments from our community and footage our staff has shared with us from the day Helene hit and the aftermath, reminders of both devastation and resilience.
To our homeowners who opened their doors and donated supplies, thank you. Our hearts remain with those who lost homes and properties across WNC.
To the linemen, first responders, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to restore safety, power, and hope, you showed us true resilience and lived out the words of John 15:13: Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. We were honored to host many of you in our properties and to hear your stories.
To our maintenance team, thank you for restoring damaged homes so we could welcome even more volunteer groups.
To our incredible housekeepers, your compassion went far beyond daily duties. You served guests and stepped up in the community with selflessness and care.
To our firefighters, police officers, and healthcare workers, thank you for standing strong and protecting us.
To our locals, who came together to volunteer, share resources, and lift each other up, you proved that the heart of WNC beats stronger than any storm.
To our company owner and property manager, thank you for leading with compassion and strength.
And to all of our Pristine staff, thank you for carrying both your work and the weight of living through Helene. We are proud to call you family.
Helene showed us heartbreak, but also hope. We’ll never forget how our community stood together, how strangers became family, and how kindness carried us through. It is a reminder of John 15:13, that the greatest love is found in sacrifice for others.
Today, we honor the strength of Western North Carolina. 💙
